How will Facebook give me a return on my investment?



With any marketing strategy, the question that many people want to know is "how is this actually going to create a return on my investment?" This can be answered in two ways: 1.) By having a Facebook page that is well maintained, that makes regular posts, and engages with people, this will serve to help your site be better optimized with the search engines. For example, if you are a photographer and want to boost your wedding clientele, it would not do any good to advertise to men who are in their 50's, the primary population that should be sought out would be women who are between the ages of 22-35 who are not currently married but are either engaged or in a serious relationship. Facebook also allows for second degree behavioral targeting which would allow us to pinpoint specific interests that would be relative to the type of clientele you would be pursuing. Social media is a slow build, it takes time to build relationships, build a fan base and it also take many weeks for the search engines to recognize that your business is even engaged in social media. If you are looking for magnificent results within three months, then social media and Facebook most likely is not going to be a good fit for your needs. However, when used properly and effectively, Facebook can be an excellent outlet to propel your business forward.
